About Me:
I graduated from Boston University's School of Education with my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Biology Education. At BU I played Divison 1 lacrosse and was a co-captain my senior year. I am also pursuing my Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and Instructional Technology through SUNY Albany.
In my free time I enjoy coaching lacrosse, hiking, and spending time at the beach surfing. I travel almost every year and so far I have been to Japan, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Peru, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the British Virgin Islands, and Mexico.
I am a huge fan of Spiderman/Marvel and you will likely see many superhero themed references in my lessons. "With great power comes great responsibility" -Uncle Ben
I have a pet axolotl named Stego. I adopted him in 2015 and he has traveled with me from New York to Boston many times. Axolotls are an evolutionary anomaly - and adorable! If you would like to learn more about how axolotls have evolved backwards over time check out this piece from National Geographic.
Each year I volunteer at the Wheels 2 Water event run by the Testaverde Fund for Spinal Cord Injuries. This event allows experienced surfers such as myself to share the thrill of surfing with spinal cord injury victims.
